The mindless rantings of a filmaholic.
Is your name John Connor?

Looks like it’s that time of year again (the beginning) and with it comes a wave of crap to do for school. I know I should buckle down and work my ass off since I presently have 1,863,000 seconds left of high school (including weekends). But DAMMIT! All I want to do is play Vice City or read 2010! It’s just not fair. But don’t worry. It’ll get done. Test tomorrow on food safety (I can’t believe I’m actually going to be tested on how to store foods), Kinesiology presentation Friday (shit), and now there are 2 more food projects to be done. This wouldn’t be so bad except that right now in my life, things are hectic. Tink left for Guelph. I need to find a job for post-school, and to top it off, my father has to undergo test after test to find out why his noggin ain’t workin. There have been catscans, MRIs, X-rays, blood tests, but now, NOW, he has electrodes stuck to his head (with contact cement I found out! Are they allowed to do this or did they think we wouldn’t notice? They should have checked to see if there was a pyro in the family, first. I know my flammable substances!) As I type, he is walking around the house, carrying a purse that resembles a very large version of one of those fanny packs, used to carry your discman. Not only is the purse a pain in the ass, but there are also numerous multi-coloured cords, stemming from the top of his head, streaming down his back like some deranged rainbow from the Nebuchadnezzar. While these are all a pain to endure, for two days straight I might add, this fetching outfit does come with a darling little white stock cap to hold the wires down. This is a plus, because not only does he now look like an elderly, cybernetic experiment gone terrible wrong, he also reminds me of a very twisted version of “The Night Before Christmas.” Every time I see that cap, all that comes to my mind is “Mom in her kerchief and I in my cap had just settled down for a warm winter’s nap.” Well I’ll be damned. I didn’t think I remembered that. Surprise! Surprise! Before I “ramble on” (hehe Zeppelin), I better get my shit together and settle down in front of the tube for Clone Wars on Teletoon. I decided I wouldn’t make my list of petty thievery from Kazaa any longer, and actually do something legit. Who knows? It is a new year
