Not That He Ever Had My Heart.....
Tonight I sat down and watched Daily Planet on the Discovery Channel. I do enjoy watching DP, because not only is it interesting, but I like the Jay and Natasha (is it because her name is Natasha?). The stories they do are actually good, not just mindless technical mumbo-jumbo that a few other shows do, so that the audience feels like their learning something. Their time slot, however, does not agree with me, because I love my Jeopardy. If I could, I would have a fiber optic cable pumping trivia into my veins. My addiction has therefore made me leave Daily Planet for those nights when I feel like a scientist, or when something spectacular happens. Tonight, my work was supposed to be shown, as a small segment. How this would fit in with DP's "Forensics Week?" I don't know. My boss told me that they came in on Monday and took some shots about the pebbling technique. Discovery tends to go beyond normal coverage by actually researching a topic before it is presented, so naturally, I was curious as to what they would say about curling. So tonight I sat down and watched DP, only to find that we had been cut from the show. BASTARDS! Maybe they'll show it in another show, but frankly, I don't care. I'm sure somebody at work will eventually find out what happened and I'll get my hands on a copy, but that's not important. I've been screwed for TV time, once again, but at least CityTV wasn't doing the screwing this time. I swear, CityTV must go out and shoot so much stuff, just so they can get those people to watch the show at night.......and eventually be disappointed.
