Heaps of Sorrow

Well, today was one of the worst nights in a while. The day was great because I spent most of the day driving around the city. The shit hit the fan though, when I had to pick up my mom. I had to wait 20 minutes for her, and as we pulled out of the parking garage, I was delighted to find out that we had a flat tire. I then had to drive through bumper to bumper traffic all the way home. I was also seriously pissed off to see a guy make an illegal right hand turn, RIGHT IN FRONT OF A COP!!!!!! and the cop did nothing. I got home and continued my campaign in RISK. The game was going well, and I had a formidable chance of conquering all of Europe. After 90 minutes of playing, I wiped out England. I had officially killed the computer....technically. Now I just had to simply sweep west and take over the Low Countries and cut him off by invading Great Britain and sweeping in from Scandinavia. It was a perfect plan, and I had the resources....but the #1 episode of Friends came on. I watched it, and it sucked. I was never a big fan of the "Bracelet Buddies" episode. My favourite has always been the apartment swapping episode where Joey, Chandler, Monica and Rachel play the famous trivia game that included some of my favourite lines such as:

"Ms. Chenandeler Bong"
"He's a......he's a transponster!!"
And the classic,
Ross: "What is Rachel's favourite movie?"
Chandler: "Legends of the Fall!" (Ooo Brad Pitt)
Ross: "What is Rachel's real favourite movie?"
Joey (snarling): "Weekend at Bernies!"

This was followed by the ever heartbreaking Survivor and The Apprentice. I was looking forward to The A because I was hoping for a good showdown between Nick and Bill, and that Bill would ultimately win the job that has been so rightfully his since day 1.
I was sad to see Nick go, but was pleased to find that all of my thoughts about Nick were perfect with relation to Trump's advisors. I've always liked Nick, but he's way too submissive to be an Exec. He's confident about himself, and uses his own confidence as a mask for his product. He really is "just a salesman." Bill on the other hand is spectacular. I was surprised that Amy got all bad reviews, but was glad to see Kwame get the chance to shine. This was going to be a good episode, but then I forgot about what was going to happen. Omarosa showed up. From that point on, I was fearing for my finale. I believe that Omarosa is purposely sabotaging Kwame's operation, because she won't win. She knows that Kwame won't stand up, and she's capitalizing on it. She's using someone, and sabotaging an entire project. No wonder she's a political consultant. I had high hopes for Kwame but now it seems like he's doomed to a life of Wall Street, after he picked THE SAME DAMN TEAM!!!! I understand picking Troy. If I was the "famous wall street celebrity, Kwame Jackson," I'd pick him too, but why Omarosa.

After my Apprentice, my mom returned from the other room, where she had been on the phone receiving birthday greetings from her sister. My mom turned the big 5-1 today. Her night, however, was not so good. She came into the room teary eyed, and told us that her Aunt had died. She had been battling colon cancer for 3 years, and finally lost the battle. I had never known her, but she was very close with my mom after my grandmother died. Nobody had told my mom about her cancer, which made the situation only worse. I spent half an hour talking to my mom, and finally decided to let her have some alone time, so I returned to my campaign of Europe.

Now by this time, I was pretty bummed out, and wasn't really in the mood for slaughtering thousands of lives, but since I can't save the game, I was forced to play. I kept making progress until the game glitched and Black ended up receiving 700 reinforcement battalions instead of 70. Needless to say I was screwed, and slowly watched my Empire crumble. Hmmm, another Julius Joke. For three days, I've been playing this game night and day. I haven't closed the program, or turned it off, just so I could keep the game going. This was one helluva shitty way to go down. Now im really in a crappy mood.

This should mix well with the old parapalegic I met today, who almost brought me to tears.

God I want a smoke and frankly, fuck it! I'm goin for a walk.

Funny thing. I kind of didn't watch them. I tuned in at #6, was not impressed, and spent the rest of my time watching Jeopardy. I needs my trivia.

I went to NBC and found that the top six were:
#6 - Chandler and Monica get engaged with the candles everywhere
#5 - The one where Brad Pitt comes to dinner. ie. The I Hate Rachel Club
#4 - The one where Pheobe finds out about Monica and Chandler from Ugly Naked Guy's apartment.
#3 - Ross tries to get everyone ready for a dinner he's speaking at, and Joey does lunges in all of Chandler's clothes.
#2 - Rachel tells Ross her feelings after she finds out that Ross and Julie are getting a cat.
#1 - The one with the prom video and the kiss by the door.

It looks like everyone just went for the romantic episodes. I did like Brad Pitt, and Joey undoing Pheobe's shirt was a good gag, but there were much better ones.
