The mindless rantings of a filmaholic.
Not quite a movie.

Before we get into things, I would like to state that "Milkdrop" is not a movie. It is a gift from the visual gods. Adam let me in on this little gem. Milkdrop is a visualization for Winamp and it is amazing!!!!

Before I knew of MD, I watched "Battery: Randomization" on Windows Media Player. It was pretty cool. The rotating windmill, and the endless tunnels were highly addictive, and provided another excuse to sit in front of my computer for an hour, staring at my screen. MD, however, contains sharp, vibrant colours. Battery was based on a very simple color palette. The colours were somewhat dull, and didn't seem to have any detail or texture whatsoever. MD seems to deliver the whole pot of gold as it delivers visual sensations from every point on the rainbow spectrum. While it still has some kinks, and hasn't displayed the mind-boggling series of presets that I saw at Adam's, I'm sure that these are bugs that I can exterminate in the near future. I'll download the rest of the archives, ill update Direct X8, and I'll check up on my video card. It's only a matter of time til Milkdrop will reign supreme over the rest of the activities on my computer.

Both Milkdrop and Geiss (sp?) are simple stunning visualizations.

yeah. I had Geiss when I first got my computer, but I was amazed by the wormholes that Milkdrop created.
