Couldn't even finish writing the article I was working on. I had to post some sort of praise to Spike Jonze, for creating one of the greatest music videos of all time. You don't get alot of time to make an impression with a music video. Half the people are watching because they're bored, while the other half are listening to the music, as a glassy film begins to build on their eyes.
Yet, Jonze was able to make a quality video that was obviously shot on a low budget. Not because everything's poorly done, but because with a whole bunch of costumes, the Beastie Boys were a perfect ensemble cast. The music video for Sabotage is a perfect spoof of 80's cop chows. The music is full of adrenaline with many drum snares, and guitar jumps. Jonze doesn't leave one behind, with many action cut-scenes, and hilarious chase sequences. If you haven't seen it, watch it. Even if you don't like the music, appreciate the unique, and innovative idea for this video. Then think back to every Hackstreet Boys video with them just standing around pointing at their hearts.
