The mindless rantings of a filmaholic.
Mmmm Duck Soup!
Published on December 31, 2003 By Phantom of the Night In Blogging
Today is solely about typing up the movies and books that I read this summer. I was planning on a making a list of all the movies I saw this year, but that just isn’t possible. There were too many, some at times of the night that I have forgotten existed. So I’ve decided, why not put it in the blog? That way I can get to it wherever I am. Before I list, though, I have 4 pieces of business. Firstly, Muchmusic’s Holiday Wrap is Holiday Crap! I have never seen such a waste of prime time television in all my life. I am also deeply offended that Much would try and duplicate the superior “crappy-clip-cavalcade.” I mean at least Fromage is funny. Campanelli’s just annoying! Secondly, “I insist we must take up the tax!”
“How about taking up the carpet?”
“I still insist we must take up the tax!”
“You know he’s right. You’ve got to take up the tacks before taking up the carpet.” Now that that’s over with, idea 3. I have been tempted with the idea of turning this blog or starting another one about as a chronicle of my father’s slow yet eventual slip into senility and the many blunders endured. I would be interested to hear if this would be a funny idea, or is this treading towards Bruce Vilanch comedy, in which I will promptly pull the plug? Lastly, Peter Pan is definetely PAN THE MAN! I have no problem in admitting, mostly because I don’t know any of you, that I was almost brought to tears at 2 or 3 moments. Jason Isaacs was “bloody brilliant” (a nice Ron Weasley quote for Lucius) as Hook and I was blown away by
