This just in, 3 days ago. Famous Player’s Toronto Paramount theatre is the top-ranking theatre in North America for Return of the King. Paramount has also set a new box office record, reaching $50 million in only 33 days, faster than any Canadian theatre ever. In light of this news, New Line Cinemas, in association with Alliance Atlantis, have decided to create a documentary of the phenomenon that is the LOTR: Trilogy and it’s relations with Canadian theatre. From what we has been leaked out, the film will tour all of Canada, but will focus mainly on Toronto, the Paramount in particular. It seems with every LOTR production there is some kind of turbulence, and apparently there is no exception here. It seems that to the dismay of certain cast members, Christopher Lee and Liv Tyler among others, have tried to pull out of the project saying “It would only be a waste of my time. -CL” New Line Cinemas has apparently dropped the judicial book on them stating that they are responsible to fulfill all of the LOTR pictures as indicated in their contracts. While this film is not part of the Tolkien trio, New Line has disclosed that if each cast member had read through their contract carefully, they would have found out that, after signing on, they are obligated to appear as their designated character in any New Line film. Peter Jackson, who was also accused of groping a female Orc on set, has given no comment. Could this be the end of the LOTR trilogy? With turmoil ensuing throughout the LOTR universe, there is no doubt. When Elijah Wood was asked if he would reprise his role in the documentary, he was quoted as saying, “Sure, why not.”
Ian McKellan: “You're not actually going to be in that movie are you?”
Viggo Mortensen: “I have no choice. They threatened to ruin my jazz career.”
