A Funky Groove to Fuck To

Blactacular indeed. In my Bone Daddy withdrawl, I have found myself listening to the soundtrack over and over. I’ve found that this kind of music is universal, especially the title track. No matter what you are doing, this music goes to it. Whether I’m look for jive as I enter a subway, or if I’m cutting some bad ass green peppers. It’s got good rhythm, and an amazing bass line. Since I’m a theme whore, “Titles Struttin’” (a must download) will be a long lived favourite along with my Beavis and Butthead theme, my Beverley Hills Cop theme, and James Bond theme. Because let’s face it, everytime I hear “Bone Daddy! Bone Daddy! Bone Daddy! Bone Daddy!” it still makes me laugh. And I am so glad that “Uncharacteristically Uncool” is on there. That must be my favourite Slick Willie line. The best use of this soundtrack, is for background music while I read. I find that everything I do, should be to music. Walking, eating, sleeping, carving gnomes out of balsam wood, everything. This stems from my preschool days where they used to play Tchaikovsky at naptime. When I bought my first tape player around 5 or 6, I put in classical tapes, except on Sunday when I would listen to the “Theatre of the Mind” on CBC. This lasted until I discovered the Q107 Top Ten at Ten. (I can’t believe I used to be tired at 10pm.) This led to my love of classic rock, and my need for sleepy-time music. Once I bought a discman, it was all over. (I fear the day I get an mp3 playable device.)

Anyhoo, I guess what I’m trying to say, is that the Original Soundtrack to Bone Daddy and the Fourth Reich is an amazing background cd. You listen to it, you do your stuff, and you take the occasional break to say “Not to bad. Not to bad, Roger Thundercock.” or to sing along to “Bitch Won’t Let My Bone Alone.” I can’t wait til my next party. I’m bringing this cd, and I’m gonna get the sweetest, most wholesome kid to karaoke to that song.

Time is all relative. While I was waiting for Joeuser to load so I could post this blog, I found myself meddling around in Windows Movie Maker, my latest toy. Since I was in a Bone Daddy mood, and the soundtrack was going, I decided: “Why not make a small movie with Bone Daddy stuff? So here I am, waiting for Joeuser to load, and in the 15 minutes it took (Damn you Kazaa), I made a small TV add for the Bone Daddy soundtrack. First the fuzzy dice and now this. It is now that I fully understand the meaning of “Idle hands are the devil’s playground.”
