I Hope the Gorbinator Doesn’t Terminate Me

I need to see me some more Bone Daddy. Every time someone asks me what I want or if I need something, I always answer with “Not too bad, Not too bad.” We only add the Thundercock for close friends. With black history month approaching, people have been planning Shaft marathons, and I find myself finding more ads involving afros, than I’ve noticed in a long time. Like a splinter in my mind, I tend to return to Bone Daddy with no visual meal for my hungry eyes. It seems one of the weird kids at my school, my old school, has developed a taste for the funk, and I actually heard someone say, “Damn that was like 4 years ago.” yesterday. It’s amazing how grade 9 was almost four years ago, I’m surprised I haven’t said it myself every 5 minutes. I’ve even toyed with the idea of renting Raiders of the Lost Ark tonight for some good ol’ Toht. Normally, If I see a movie I really like, I watch it a bunch of times. Let my head absorb all it can so I can continue my life with enough data stored. Didn’t happen this time. I saw The Wall. Loved it. Then watched it 5 more times. I eagerly await Bone Daddy’s DVD release. Then I can watch the rooftop scene over and over, or ill replay the “I am in a cage.” Maybe I’ll just watch the Dr. Vesuvius part over, and over.

The soundtrack isn’t helping at all. After only really sitting down and listening to the first half, before being interrupted, I decided to take the Gorbinator’s advice and sit down to really enjoy the soundtrack. After going through the entire cd, I have made a few realizations. The first, is that I LOVE BASS! So powerful, yet so soothing. The second, is that “White Supremicin’” is an excellent track. I am a big fan of WWI and WWII video games. I’ve gone through dozens, and that track is good. Really good. It doesn’t have any funk, but it’s spot on. Finally, I realized that this is not a cd to play at work. Last Saturday, I was closing up and like normal, I put on a cd. I happened to put on the cd, while Debbie, a middle aged wholesome mother, who works at the club, as an interesting hobby....was cleaning the tables. I will never forget the look on her face when she stopped wiping the table, turned to me and said, “Did.......Did he just say...Thundercock?” To which I replied, “Yes, Debbie. Yes, he certainly did.”
