I just met with Peter, to discuss the sound cues for the plays next week. Literally, like 5 minutes ago. I'm actually blogging at my mother's work. Maybe that's why things are working.....Well I found out that the cues I sent him, were half good. The other half were too short, but that doesn't matter because we ended up choosing different sounds today, when we went through the theatre's catalogue. Now I just sit back and make some CDs. Easy as cake.
The exciting part of the meeting was that he asked me if I wanted to run the sound throughout the production. Oh man, I've been waiting so long to run sound at the Gill. Ever since I was a kid, I've been seeing shows there, working back stage, and running front of house. I even stage managed one show, but never ran tech. It seems odd, that at Leaside I always did Tech, but here was my moment to shine. Buttfuck. I have to work. Slap to the face, stomp on the foot, teasing crap. Now i feel like that guy from the mythology age who kept reaching for the apple, but the wind would only blow the branch a little higher every time.
Well now I leave this work, to go to more work. Hopefully, I won't be working late tonight and I can get home and post some stuff that's been in the back of my mind. I really want to see If I can actually remember all of the events of the Exploding Foam Factory, and it would be nice to have a hard copy, in case I ever forget, Though I'm sure I never will. I'd also like to get in a viewing of Fight Club before I go to bed. For some reason I haven't had the time to sit down and watch it lately, and it's starting to piss me off. On a weird note, this week's edition of NOW is the post sex-survey results, where they list everything they have that has to do with sex. On the bottom of one of the pages, I found an ad for the "Kink Club" DVD, the cover had the title on a brown package down up with twine. I have to see that movie.
