A Little Better All The Time!
Published on March 10, 2004 By Phantom of the Night In Life Journals
It seems like life has taken a turn for the better. Today was probably the best day since I was voted out of the Leaside Tribe. Lately, things have not been so good. I’ve been working like an iron horse (who likes to sleep a lot), trying to get my room finished. For eight months, I’ve been trying to finish my room. AND... (trumpets flare) IT HAS BEEN COMPLETED! The only tasks left, are to vacuum up 8 months worth of dust and crumbs, hang my Argos flag over my blind (to ensure total darkness for movie watching), and to fix my non-closing door. My room is very special to me because it helps ease my tired mind. The only thing that moves faster than my mind from one subject to another, are my eyes, and my room is an eye-candy prison for my soul. But enough about my room! I’ll show some pics eventually. Let’s get back to the bitchin’ day that I had!! Let’s just zip through these shall we?

  • For the first time in 14 days, I’ve awoken before noon. It was nice to see the sun in the east for once. The morning dew did some good on my head, even though it was throbbing from my 5am bedtime.

  • I went downtown to Sunrise to pick up tickets for the Aussie Floyd concert on Saturday. I got some ok seats, and an aisle seat for my very tiny girlfriend. I heard a quote on Q107 saying that Aussie Floyd, an Australian Pink Floyd tribute band, are the closest thing to Pink Floyd itself, so I have high hopes. This will be my first “official” concert. SARSfest didn’t count, and neither did that lame afternoon show at Ontario Place (“Wave” performed), but I was only there because Hillary is in love with them.

  • After I picked up the tickets, I wandered around downtown for an hour or two. It was nice to be amidst other humans during the daylight.

  • When I got home, I watched my daily episode of Spiderman, ONLY TO FIND, that Mary Jane Watson returned from the alternate dimension she was sent to, after Spiderman’s fight with the Green Goblin. Nice to see her back. I do enjoy the soap opera-ish storyline. Especially the love triangle between Peter, Harry and Mary. Sounds like a crappy folk band, or a guy and a freakishly hairy woman.

  • Today on TMN they played LOT: Fellowship and LOT: Two Towers back-to-back. It lasted from 2:30 til 9. I ended up taping all of them for my mom and I, since I had to work, but I had my dad sit down and watch the Hobbits in their natural habitat. Tomorrow, it will be mine.......my precious.....

  • I finished my room, and organized and alphabetized all my CDs and movies, because I’m anal retentive, and I set up my new stack of books to read.

  • After I cleaned my room, I realized that I was missing 3 CDs (Beatles “Revolver,” Sgt. Pepper’s, and The Hives “Veni Vedi Vicious”). I found my Hives CD and my Sgt. Pepper, but I was unable to find my revolver. It’s been missing for to weeks.

  • For dinner, I cooked myself a “Lazy Omelet.” (Patent Pending) Scrambled eggs with melted cheese and ham on top. Too lazy to be fancy, and it tastes just the same!!!

  • I went to work and wasted a good hour telling everyone about “Bowling For Columbine,” and chatted with one of the curling groupies.

  • To get to work I biked. It was nice to fly around the streets, with a complete disregard for safety. It’s nice to know I can do whatever I want, and not have to worry about insurance. Every lane is mine, lights don’t matter to me, and there is such a thing as an S-Turn!

  • I got home from work, and decided to watch another episode of Spiderman to discover that Peter reveals his secret identity to Mary, and then asks her to marry her. Of course she said yes!

  • My mom got some advice from a friend at work, and we fixed the signing in problem on our computer. A search toolbar keeps popping up but if I can check my email, and blog....who cares!

  • And last but certainly not least, I hooked up my NES today to play some good ol’ Tetris, and after 20 minutes of Tetris music, I decided it was time for a change. I went to put on a CD, but decided to check Q107 first. Zeppelin’s “When the Levee Breaks” was on and I decided to listen to my Zeppelin disc with that song. I put the CD into the player, and as I’m about to close the case......I find my Beatles “Revolver” CD. Excellent.

  • I swear if this day got any better, I’d have grown breasts
