For 4 months, our special cable was shut off. We never really paid for it. Rogers just let us preview it for a few months, and we decided that all those extra channels just weren't the fees. The only things that I found appealing, were the Game Show Network, and TechTV, which has Electric Playground, (The only show I would wake up to watch on a Sunday) and X-Play (It's funny, and it makes you think...........well, not really but Morgan's hot.). I used to love watching old episodes of Camp Car...

I love Pink Floyd! What did you expect?
March 15, 2004 by Phantom of the Night
Lately, not much has happened. I spent a great weekend with Tink, and went to see Aussie Floyd at the Hummingbird Centre, which was absolutely the greatest thing I've ever seen. I loved it so much that I wouldn't be able to finish the post before 3am. I've also started a small film for Tink. So far all I have done is the credits, but I think they're pretty good. Now I return to my endless playlist of old "You Bet Your Life" radio programs. Other than the concert, I found out that my frien...

Well If I'm diligent about this, it might actually turn into something worthwhile, but most likely, I'll forget about it. This weeks recommended viewing comes from the director behind Memento, which he wrote, and Insomnia, which I both own. The film is called "The Following." Christopher Nolan's first feature film is about a writer, who follows people on the street with hopes that he will find inspiration in their daily activiities. One man, confronts him about his "hobby" an...

Well, it seems that I've been nominated for an award that I didn't know existed. I don't know how I was nominated or who nominated me, but I guess I should give thanks to where it is due. Normally, I'm a very competitive person, but since I have no idea what this is all about, I don't really care that much. I've noticed that there are a lot of repititions amongst the nominations, and feel like there should have been more outrageous categories to include other bloggers, like "Best Subtitle Writ...

Are you a psychopath who occasionally watches movies? Do you feel like your life doesn't have enough mindless information? Well, look no further because I, Film Fanatic, have found a way to waste your time, and create a special bond with that very special movie. As I was strolling through the databanks of information at Internet Movie Database, I came across their movie listings arranged by year. I thought nothing of this, but decided to check out what movies came out in my year of b...

Last night, I lay awake in bed at 5:30am, chuckling to myself over something that happened 3 years ago. I was at the Classics Conference, yes a school conference to celebreate Latin (STOP LAUGHING!), and it was my second year attending. The previous year I came back lip-locked on the bus, so this year my hopes were high. I found out that it was our year to host the conference and that we would be organizing a lot of the events. The one oppurtunity that peaked my interest was the Fashion show, ...

I love to post pictures, not because it makes my blog look good, or it saves me some time from explaining things to the world. I love posting pictures because I get to add in little secret messages that appear when you hover the mouse over the picture. Take these for example.

It's Over. Never to be repeated again. Now What? A few days ago, I finished the last novel in Arthur C. Clarke's "Odyssey" series: 2001, 2010, 2061 and 3001. I enjoyed these books immensely. This was the first series of books that I have ever read. Sure I've read all the Harry Potter books, but I haven't read the series. There are still 2 to go. The reason why I liked these books so much, was because they blended a subtle parody of pop culture, a in depth look at astrophysi...

I tend to travel to Yahoo Games frequently to partake in a little backgammon when the mood suits me, but one day I encountered a game called Inspector Parker. It was a murder mystery, and was one of those, "Here are a bunch of clues, solve the mystery" games. The ones that I got in math class. The ones I loathed so much, but nevertheless I beat it with impecable speed, and returned to Yahoo to find another gem. Oh i found a gem alright. It's name was Zuma Deluxe. One of the most addicting game...

The Thirteenth Floor was right up my alley. If any movie, or book for that matter, involves people discovering that there world is not real, I LOVE IT! While 13F wasn’t as mind-trippy as The Matrix, it does provide a difeent scope of reality to struggle with. Hannon Fuller, a computer scientist, is the head of a major breakthrough in computer engineering. Over the course of six years, he has developed a computer simulated world, circa 1937, where all of the digital inhabitan...

Have you ever suffered from so much stress that you felt like you were going to explode? Well, forget the yoga. Forget the meditation, and the 10 second breathing. The Future is Now! Today I slept in, and the fact that I missed so much of the day, left me in a pretty crummy mood, but thankfully, I've found the greatest way to get rid of my anger. Muggaz, and Sir Peter Maxwell. Sir Peter writes a fictitious blog that is a day-to-day journal of a billionaire tycoon from Gloucestershire, which is...

Well I spent another night cooking more Egg Fried Rice. I made a batch last week, and it turned out to be scrumtrilescent. Tonight I decided to make a homemade stir-fry to go with my rice, instead of a chop suey, which I made the first time. The stir-fry was better than my chop suey, and my rice was excellent as always. I was a little worried that it might not taste good because last time, I made 6 servings, but this time....I made 18. So much rice.....so good. This should keep me busy for my...

Tonight I sat down and watched Daily Planet on the Discovery Channel. I do enjoy watching DP, because not only is it interesting, but I like the Jay and Natasha (is it because her name is Natasha?). The stories they do are actually good, not just mindless technical mumbo-jumbo that a few other shows do, so that the audience feels like their learning something. Their time slot, however, does not agree with me, because I love my Jeopardy. If I could, I would have a fiber optic cable pumping triv...

Last night at work, Bobbe had eTalk daily on the TV. I kept passing by from time to time, waiting for jeopardy to come on, so I could take a break. At one point, Johnny Depp came on and was talking about how shocked he was with the success of POTC, and how he was amazed that everyone liked Jack Sparrow so much. Right after, eTalk said "What are Johnny's thoughts about portraying the king of candy?" I froze. How could anyone try to outdo Gene Wilder? He was the master of chocolatey mayhem. Depp...
